4 girls! I am not sure how this Momma does it, but these girls are the most well-behaved, fun, adorable, and delightful littles to be around. They were so willing to do anything I asked of them and they were so helpful to each other. I hope my children can learn to be this cooperative one day! I also LOVE when dads are willing and happy, and this Daddy sure was just that. He had a permanent smile on his face just adoring his princesses. This is also the talented lady who has made all of my crocheted baby hats you have seen. Love this family!

A few weeks ago, Wells Fargo teamed up with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and put on an auction to raise money for research and treatments. I was so honored to be apart of the cause. As a family we got to participate in the annual Light the Night Walk in downtown San Antonio with thousands of other people hoping to become that much closer to a cure. This sweet family had the winning bid for a photo session with yours truly. We had such a blast together. Little Kylie was absolutely perfect and Mom and Dad where so fun to work with. I loved the way that they showered Kylie with kisses. All.of.the.time.

Yes he is 4. Like 4 months ago, but 4 still the same. We headed to this location for another shoot and Kyle wanted to come along and have his birthday pictures taken too. I let him pick the outfit and the poses. He ran from to tree to wall cheesing it up. He LOVES to have his picture taken.

Pretty much the only time Baby Jack was completely content during his shoot was when he was laying on Big Brother's chest. He was awake and yet so calm.

Right after church today I had the boys humor me for a few shots. Although not what I had envisioned, they are still darling.

When we told Big Brother that another little one would be joining the family soon, he got a huge grin on his face, hugged the picture, and screamed happily, "I hope it's a girl!"

We are all very excited, thrilled and anxious to meet Baby #3 in February!

So this family is heading off to experience Italy for a few years and I so want to jump in their suitcase. What a wonderful time these kids are going to have. Italy?!! Really!! So jealous.

Mom wanted to capture the family one last time in San Antonio. Although it was the blazes outside and we encountered 1 million distractions for these little explorers, they did great, had a blast, and captured some awesome shots. I can't say enough good about this family. You know the kind of people that are just down-to-earth, genuine, real, enthusiastic, caring people.

Big Brother played soccer with my son this past season and I think the two might missed each other. It is always sad when friends move away!

Look at what our background was; a fallen tree in the middle of a random park. It provided the perfect light filter and wind blocker. These were taken on an extremely windy day and who would have ever known! I am totally digging the purple that is so popular this year. It looks amazing on everyone.

The first of Many

Finally a post! Here is the first of MANY families I am needing to post. We have successfully arrived in San Antonio and are loving our new life. I am not sure we have a strong opinion about our surroundings yet, except for the ridiculousness of "who our new pediatrician was suppose to be" but will definitely not be. 1 hour and 45 minutes later, I left the office and only talked with the doctor for 3 minutes max! Oh boy was I mad! With that horrific event behind us, we are on the hunt for a new Dr. Anyone know of a good one who practices good sanitary habits, looks at their patients when talking to them, has seen a crying baby before, and knows a thing or two about getting baby to sleep better?

Our Bags are Packed

And we are almost ready to go! We are MOVING to San Antonio, TEXAS in just about 2 weeks. We are very excited, yet a little overwhelmed at the sudden uproot. We have never been to San Antonio and know nothing of the place, but are thrilled about my husband's new job. I hate good-byes and will truly miss all of my wonderful clients! Since my husband's family is here in Mesa, we plan on returning as often as possible, but no date is set as of yet. I will let you all know so we can schedule appointments.

Aimee and Jacob's wedding turned out perfect. It was blazing hot, but a wonderful day nonetheless. They were married in the Mesa LDS Temple.

Carter was blessed by his daddy almost 5 months ago and here are the pictures from that wonderful day. I am smitten by the adorable little shoes. I bought them for Kyle's blessing 3.5 years ago and with him coming out of the womb with a size 3 foot and by the 1 month mark almost into a size 5, he never got to wear the tiny newborn shoes. So I saved them for baby #2 and I just get so giddy looking at a babe of mine finally wearing them.

My mother made the priceless white baby blanket Carter is laying on. She has made all 17 grandchildren one as a gift from Grandma.

Too Fast

As I was talking with my doctor today, he asked why I didn't bring Carter with me. While Carter usually attends my appointments, my last experience, also being the first time I met this new doctor, Carter screamed through the entire hour appointment. I think the doctor was on edge the entire time, therefore I left him home. (The sweet nurse came in and took him while we finished up. When I went to get him he was still screaming as she was coming out of a dark room. She said she tried to calm him in the pitch black room...I forgot to tell her he is afraid of the dark. Ooops!)

Anyway, when meeting with the Doc today, he was a bit bummed I didn't bring him in and counseled me that our children's early years go by too fast. It is difficult to keep up and we must savor each moment. He then told me that he would give anything to rewind time and have back the moments when his children, now 9,7,and4, were little. He said that he worked too much and has since learned that nothing matters but our little ones and spending time with them. He was so tender hearted and sincere. It made me stop and think that even though my children drain every once of energy out of me, and I think this is a difficult time, things are only going to get harder and that I need to treasure the time NOW.

As I edited these photos, I couldn't help but think, he is 1 already! It felt like just yesterday I took Little C's newborn photos. Time really does fly.

While in Ohio this summer I had the pleasure of snapping a few pictures of my adorable nieces. This is my oldest brother's family. All girls. My incredible crafty sister in law whipped these dresses together during our family reunion! How brave of her to even start such a project while on vacation, but she did it and they turned out great. The girls were so proud of them. This is why I don't have girls. They would be very disappointed to know I can't sew a straight line. Oh I love these little girls!

I looked beyond the cheesiness of matching shirts for the sheer cuteness of it. Kyle proudly wears his big brother shirt. He actually introduces himself as, "I'm Kyle and this is my little brother, Carter." He loves his little brother and takes great care of him. When I ask Kyle to take these pictures with Carter he got a huge smile and said, can I hold him in the pictures!!?

I love how BIG Carter looks in these. When I took them he was 4 months and 17.5 lbs. He is now 5 months and just under 20lbs.

Oh those thighs are to die for! I love to pinch them.

These are my three boys in front of an awesome barn in Ohio where we spent some time this summer at a family reunion at my brother's home. I spotted the barn and told Ryan to pull over and ask if we could borrow the barn for a mini shoot. The owner was a little flattered and watched us indulge ourselves in the beauty of his farm. Kyle was mesmerized by the chickens running around. If I ever get around to editing those pics, I will post them...someday.

This is my sweet little nephew. At just 10 days old, he was a handful! He thought it was so funny to wiggle and be wide awake during 90% of the shoot! His mom claims he ALWAYS sleeps. At one point in the shoot, I really wanted a straight on shot of his cute little face, but he was not having it. So I said that maybe he was just not quite strong enough yet. Oh did he prove me wrong. Right at that moment, he stretched his neck and head up as high in the air as he could and held it for almost 5 second- just long enough to prove his strength. He is so his dad's son :) The first shot is my favorite.

This is sweet Aimee. I had so much fun shooting her bridals two weeks ago and then met up again for her wedding last Saturday. She is adorable in every way and completely stole the show with her stunning dress and beautiful smile. She has a contagious personality that makes you so happy to be around. I can't believe my fisrt born is 3 already! Where has time gone. I know every parent questions this when their little one's birthday rolls around, but really it is unbelievable/happy/sad that he is three. While visiting my parents in California, I took advantage of the greenery and in a whole 5 minutes captured his personality. All of these darling little poses were his ideas. He obsesses with that hat! It literally goes everywhere we go. I love how it makes his ears flop. For his birthday he wanted a camping party, so we invited a few friends over, pitch the tent in the dining room (it is 110 outside) sat in camping chairs, painted rocks, fished for bugs, made bugs out of sculpty, and ate dirt and campfire cupcakes. I love kids' birthdays!

I had so much fun photographing this adorable family. Dad is on leave for a few weeks from Iraq and taking family photos was a must. This little guy is one of the smiliest babies I have ever met. He was so content with whatever I wanted him to do (except sitting up- which he can do, just chose to take a dive every time I tried). While editing these photos I could not stop smiling. we have all been waiting for! Today is the day this little guy, my sweet little nephew, goes in for his major heart repair. Surgery begins at 10am. If all goes well, he will be off all the tubes!!! Say a BIG prayer for him.

*** UPDATE: After waiting all day, my sister was told that they would have to postpone the surgery until next week due to an emergency case that came up early this morning! Bummer!!

Oh My! It has been oh so long since my last post. I have so much to share. I have been so busy! We have enjoyed lots of family time and tons of time with some great clients. Here is the first bit of eye candy to share. This little one is such a sweet heart. She was a bit older than most newborns, but a doll just the same.

This little lady is just 10 days old and weighing in at just over 5 lbs. What a doll! She was perfect through all moving we did to her. I would get her just perfectly placed, and right as I clicked the camera, she would shoot her little legs up in the air. She loves to sleep, especially in tight places such as her Easter basket. Her mommy was in labor on Easter, so we took a few shots for memories. Her bedroom is adorned in lady bug decor. I have never seen a room so masterfully put together. Her daddy painted red and black circles all over the walls to compliment her red polka dot sheets and lady bug quilt. I don't have a picture of the room in this round a pics, but maybe I will give you a little peak in a few days. Enjoy!

The A Family

What a fun evening I had with this family. After the shoot, I realized we had been walking around for 2 hours. I was having so much fun with them that I didn't even realize it took us so long! When I got into my car after the shoot, my cheeks hurt so bad from smiling for 2 hours straight. Don't you just love the way they interact?

Idaho Potatoes

This was by far the most difficult session I have ever had. It might have been because these cuties are my niece and nephew, or because one is on oxygen with a 6 foot radius, or it could have been because my little one tagged along and loves to run away from me at a sprint probably clocked at 100 mph. Or, maybe it was because there was water everywhere tempting the little ones. Whatever the cause, it was hard! Yet oh so worth it! I think we made out with some awesome images. These are my sister's kids. They came to visit from Idaho for 10 days and we had non-stop fun. I am so excited she is moving here in August. Party on!

This is little B. Our miracle Heart Baby. The happiest most content little boy you will ever meet. That is, until you step on or pull his oxygen.

This little bundle was so easy to photograph. At only 6 months she has so much personality and boy is she ever a Daddy's girl! My sister was in town so she came along on this session and as we drove home we couldn't stop talking about how beautiful Little A is. And the flowers were is full bloom which made for some awesome color pop! Love it.

Road Trip!

My sister and I, along with our three little ones are taking a long, extremely fun and highly eventful drive from Mesa to Boise where she lives. She drove down for a visit in the sun last week and I am driving back with her this Wednesday. We are taking a half time break in the SLC/Provo area for a couple days. So, if you or anyone you know wants a photo shoot and live in Utah or Boise contact me to schedule an appointment. All referrals receive a 10% discount!!

What an exciting time of year! I just love Spring. I don't know what I love best about it; maybe it is the flowers, or picinics in lushious green grass with my baby, or maybe it is because my house is extremely clean due to the idea of "Spring Cleaning" (OK, almost that way!). I also love how everything is changing and growing during this time of year. It is a time of renewal. Of self-evaluation. I have been thinking about my photography business a lot lately and the changes I need to make to create the business I dream about having. So, in a couple of weeks, I will be letting you all in on my changes. Change takes a lot of faith and courage. Change takes confidence. Yet, with change comes great things. The unimaginable. I am so excited!!

This is my good friend's sister and her adorable family. Little "C" sure did not want to look at the camera or have anything to do with me. He was quite content running down the tracks and popping bubbles. It was so cold out and he was a real champ to put up with all the moving around that I made him do. He wore these stinkin' cute shoes that were a tad too big and he kept tripping on them. It was hilarious. He also says "Rock On". I was cracking up during this whole session.

Some Bubble and Lollipop Lovin'

This is my handsome little man. I took him out for a surprise photo shoot for his dad and the bubbles and lollipop worked like a charm. Stinkin' cute - I know. He is usually so difficult to photograph and I always end up frusterated with him because he has major PCS (Photographer's Child Syndrome). Right when I pull the camera out, he takes off and thinks it is so funny to put his head down. He then wants to sit on my lap so he can view the picture I took of him (which is really just the top of his head or the back of him). But not today! He was loving the camera. He just knew it was all for Daddy.

I met this family at the crack of dawn and you would not believe the energy of these little ones that early! Dad told the older boy that football players take their pictures. This made "K" what to have his picture taken too. He was so good and gave me tons of sweet smiles. It so fun to have a dad that was so involved in the picture taking process. He was so willing to do whatever I asked. Isn't mom gorgeous!!

It was a zoo out at the lake due to the Ironman so we had to dodge runners, bicyclists and all the spectators. With so much stimulation distracting them, these boys did an awesome job!
